You guys can skip all the steps here, because all y'all want to practise is Hard Reset.
1. Wake up your xbox by pressing the power push button on the console (xbox logo)
2. Hold the power button on the panel (xbox logo) for 10 seconds, or until the console makes an audible and visible shutoff.
iii. Turn the xbox one dorsum on.
Done. No messing with power cables, no footling with the actual controller itself. All you lot need to practice is follow these steps in order to Hard Reset the console.

So i have been having this issue, likewise.
I tried everything that everyone else has suggested, but it wouldn't fix the problem.
Merely I realized that I always have my chat mixer hooked up to my controller that has been synced to my organization for weeks at present. I unplugged the chat mixer and it automatically connected to my console lol perhaps effort that if your using a tertiary political party headset.
Lemme know if that helps

Alright, if doing a hard reset, pulling the sync button back a lil fleck doesn't work and then I have a solution ( it worked for me) lets brainstorm.
- open up your xbox shell ( Follow this: https://youtu.be/bF1V1QiB17c tutorial up to v:35
- Reseat the ribbon cable (remove information technology then reinstall it — i found this video extremely useful https://youtu.be/ghcWusCrh30.
- shut your xbox shell
- Just a tip - before closing your xbox shell examination that the power button, eject disk and sync are working. https://youtu.be/bF1V1QiB17c Follow this guy from around 40:00 onwards ( he also reinstalls the ribbon cable here I simply idea if the other video was not proving useful you tin can try his 'method' or way.

And then I bought a new one today and I found that my sync button (ON THE XBOX) does not work. I endeavour pressing it, no blinking at all. I have tried with an USB, nothing happens. I have tried both hard and soft restart, I take tried wiping it (without games) as well. Basically everything y'all tin can do. The controller I have ( the damaged ane) DOES work with it. Information technology is actually functioning. But It just won't take a new controller into the system. Is there a fashion to laissez passer around this? Please help me <iii !!!!

I had this problem, I fixed information technology by taking the Xbox Instance off and on summit you will see the WiFi chip and a wire on the chip connected to the shell and as well the front, I dusted it wiped information technology down and disconnected both points of the wire then reconnected it, put information technology back together and it worked
1. Plug Controller in USB.

4. Plug Ability String dorsum in to Xbox.
5. Power On Xbox Press Power Push button on Console.

7. Disconnect USB from Xbox and Controller.
8. Ability on Xbox with Controller.
Y'all're Welcome. Enjoy!
Hey guys I know the reply to your problems! Plough off all Bluetooth connections in the house! I turned mine off and nail the Xbox sync push button works over again!
Did you get it fixed?
Could be ribbon cable, RF board or WiFi board.
If property the power button for 10 seconds to shut information technology downward and articulate the cache doesn't work it's probably a hardware issue.
Have you unplugged it for 30 seconds?
Besides can yous connect to WiFi?
Update (08/07/2017)
Sad I hadn't been following this post more closely. Many times the WiFi/Bluetooth board stops working. WiFi modules are pretty cheap on Amazon and eBay. They are very like shooting fish in a barrel to replace. Can't sync if the xbox tin can't run across the controller.

My sync push button doesn't piece of work at all. When printing it doesn't click just pushes right in. I can't even connect a controller via USB cable its like the whole sync organization is broke. Will a replacement ribbon gear up this or will it be something else. I really need help every bit can't play my Xbox and I can't find any info anywhere. Thanks in advance

Could be hardware problem in the Xbox. Have you tried hard reset, or resetting to factory saving all your files? Please permit me know if you got information technology to work and if so what you did to get information technology fixed. Thank you
Yes 4 tried all that. Literally everything. I just left it a while and it started to work over again. The xbox still clicks randomly and flashes. And the sync button on the side doesn't work at all. But managed get USB lead work. Will just put up with it until new Xbox is out. Thanks for your reply and your help. Much appreciated.
And so weird this worked.. Remember ultimately my rechargeable batteries are going to junk cause my controllers continue disconnecting and reconnecting.. This helps me narrow it down as I couldn't attempt a reconnect of the controllers because the box wouldn't search for controllers.. Thank you very much.. Very odd sequence.. Highly didn't expect that'd work..
This is something that inappreciably ever happens simply I had one come into my shop that had been dropped on its back from just a few inches upward and the plate that slides in behind the sink push had slid dorsum to where the little nipple on the plate had moved but enough to where it wasn't behind the push button. Long shot but it'southward a possibility for those of you who have the problem with the sink button not working.

Are y'all sure your not pressing disk eject button? When pressing the disk eject button with no disk in the console makes a ding sound. The controller sync button is located beneath the ability button.

I tried all of these and zippo worked:
1) charge batteries
two) difficult reset
iii) cable fastened
4) belongings the controller cack handed - the lot
I so removed ALL cables from the console apart form power and did another difficult reset - hey presto, the controllers all synchronised starting time time!
Mayhap this is the last resort before you bite the bullet and transport it in for repair!!!
Hopefully this helps someone who gets stuck and nothing else works!

Make sure every string is unplugged from the USB ports. I tried everything on these lists and finally saw where someone had a slightly frayed wire in plugged in, and subsequently unplugging it he could sync again. Just worked for me too.

None of the above solutions worked for me. Connect a usb wire into the side port of the xbox. (The one next to the push that you push to connect controllers) That controller has to stay in at all times and the button works properly

If none worked then you probably need a new wireless sensor or something replaced. Because used to work for me. Now I take top have my controller plug in all the time.
Key for me was to have the console casing apart to expose inside the forepart panel. Carefully unclipped the ribbon cable than links the sync button and eject button from information technology's housing, gave the cable housing a quick dust (could run across a strand of dust in it) and re-insert the ribbon cablevision (fidgety and be careful) and information technology cured the syncing problem instantly. I did not apply any contact cleaner spray, just a dust with a soft artists paintbrush.
So for me it was a simple ribbon cable dirty or imperfect connection issue. Console is 4 years sometime.
Outcome!

hey i bought my consle from someone im 11 i tryed telling an developed to endeavor an open up information technology only it wont budge and how do you lot unclip the ribon an go a new 1 or clean it
Pitiful, even if this is late, adept luck replacing that cablevision if it's a oh phat Xbox one. Very difficult country fourth dimension consuming.
So non of these suggestions worked for me. Decided to open her up and take a peek. Didn't see anything wrong. The sync button would make racket only wouldn't blink. My remotes were stuck in a infinite deadening blinking stage. Never connecting. Got tired of wired remote use when I opened it open disconnected Power-sync-eject ribbon. Looked fine. Everything looked fine. Nevertheless didn't work. Then I asunder reconnected black skinny cable going from wifi bill of fare on top of metal casing on back left corner. Finally got my remote to connect ?. Nothing else worked only this. Hopefully this helps anybody. Last entry I seen was 2018 on this page and couldn't notice anything else online other than difficult resets, and function replacements. I guess I got lucky.

For me I had a power bank plugged via USB in then I turned off my Xbox by the plug switch then there's accented no power, I took out the power bank then I could sync my Xbox!
I didn't know ability banks could prevent the Bluetooth button from having an bear on simply to be honest I'grand pretty sure information technology was making the ability bank blink like it was trying to connect to something Bluetooth lol anyways hope this helps!
